The purpose of this article is to provide for the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Mosinee through the regulation of non-stormwater discharges to the storm drainage system to the maximum extent practicable as required by federal and state law. This article establishes methods for controlling the introduction of pollutants into the municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) in order to comply with requirements of the Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (WPDES) Permit. The objectives of this article are:(1)To regulate the contribution of pollutants to the municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) by stormwater discharges from any user.(2)To prohibit illicit connections and discharges to the municipal separate storm sewer system.(3)To establish legal authority to carry out all inspection, surveillance and monitoring procedures necessary to ensure compliance with these requirements.(Ord. City of Mosinee - Chapter 70 - STREETS, SIDEWALKS AND OTHER PUBLIC PLACES

(a)Appointment. The public works director shall be appointed by the mayor, subject to confirmation by the council. The public works director shall serve at the pleasure of the council.(b)Responsibilities. The public works director is responsible for planning and directing the maintenance and repair of all city streets and related facilities, parking lots, street medians, parks and other public grounds.(c)Duties.
